I’ve spent my entire career helping my clients solve problems. For nearly 20 years, I’ve balanced seeking financial alternatives, strategizing business goals, and financial planning with a constant focus on customer service. I have learned what I love best is helping people. While my degree is in business management, I also spent any free time sailing and in the arts.
Sailing taught me persistence and nimble thinking to find alternative, non-obvious solutions to succeed. The arts always kept the creative side of my brain active. I problem solve; I strategize proactively. A common theme across my experience? Growth. That’s when things get exciting and fun. And the stakes are high.
When I became a parent, my children taught me that all decisions can be broken down simply. Explaining what once felt complicated to a small child gave me a deep appreciation for how simple things can be if logic and reasoning are applied correctly.
In competitive sailing, a “reefline” is a simple, often short piece of line used to maximize efficiency in the sail. Strategic trimming of the reefline makes the boat faster and more effective.
Prior to founding reeflyne in 2026, Hartley spent nearly 20 years in banking and financial services in Atlanta, Baton Rouge, and, for the last 15 years, her hometown of New Orleans. Hartley graduated from Washington and Lee University in 2007 (B.S., Business Management; cum laude). Hartley’s career path, non-profit board service, sailing experience, and knack for never meeting a stranger anchor her strong network of people and opportunities, in maritime, industrial services, and beyond. Hartley completed the Private Equity Certification Program through Wharton Online in 2025.
Hartley still sails competitively across the Gulf Coast (Lightnings, J22s, and Melges 15s) and may be found rigging her kids’ Opti. She also loves running, reading, gardening, and live music. Hartley, her husband, Blair, and their three children live in New Orleans.
